I've tried that, the first nut is still very loose and in the picture I'm pushing it up as far as it'll go in the little chassis hole/slot. I've even tried squeezing the mount closed without the Cap in to see if it will go any further, but no such luck for me!

Also, do I need to worry about tightening the mount around the cap too tight? Just curious. Thanks a million!

Push a filter cap in to open the clamp. Sorry you did that already. send the chassis back poor work men ship.

Well I feel like an idiot, to fix my problem I just installed the mount first, then pushed the Cap Can through the mount after loosening the clamp (instead of trying to install the mount with the Can already in it). It was a little bit of a squeeze but now it seems to fit in there just fine. Thanks for the help!

Personally, I'd take a small round file to the mounting points on the cap clamp, long before I'd considering doing the same to the chassis. And yes, you don't want to go too tight on the cap itself or you'll be crushing the layers in the cap.
