While wrestling with one of the 50x50 filter caps I dented one. Is this cause for replacement or will it still work ok? Also one of my 1M CTS volume pots came loose while installing the knob. I got it back together but should I replace also? thanks.
JMP50 build.

Re: New Builder, dented filter cap
Possibly.
If you smooshed it good enough, some of the layers might be in direct contact now (not surrounded by dielectric anymore). I would say finish your build and see how it sounds. If you observe undue wonkiness while rocking, replace the dented cap. As far as what that wonkiness might sound like, I'm not sure as I've never dented a filter cap before.
Also...this might be tricky as your amp's tone will be changing constantly in the first ~80 hours.

More mids, please...

Thanks, I ended up replacing it cause I'm sure it would be bothering me.
