Are the 50 watters good with strats? Anyone got clips of their metro 50 watter & strat?

Does David Ryan Harris from the John Mayer band play a metro 50 watt 1986?
Saw them the other nite and his amp was magic even next johns fumble steel string singer I think I would have chosen david's metro...!!! But he didn't play a strat...

I think so. It is a personal opinion. Some insist they need that extra hump and depth of the bottom that 100 gives them I don't miss that at all. I think the phase inverter pushes the two power tubes of a fifty a bit hard than it pushes the four of a 100 so I think I hear a bit more compression and SAG with a 50 when played full up through my attenuator. I love that sound of the amp struggling.

Lead spec, in a 212 combo. You're hearing a Carvin VL12 speaker, and that is with a master volume installed, all other controls at noon, master to keep it down so my neighbors don't shoot me, and channels jumped. It is run through my pedal board, but nothing is turned on.
