Hi all
I call all my repro builds a Metro and thid is not really a Metro build but would not have been made without this community
A long time ago I asked Brian Wallace which 50W was his favorite. He pointed me to this; http://marstran.com/68%2010513.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. which he happens to own.
Anyway; I remembered Michael Doyle stating that the 68-69 50w was also his personal favorite so I decided to give it a try..
Here it is; Marstran chassis, trannies and choke. Sparky front. Valvestorm rear. Brian H. board. Mojo cab - I think. All new components..
It's a truly cool amp that have much gain on tap - but sounds great. It's wide open on all controls and this is the first amp I've made/owned which sounds best that way.
BTW I forgot to install the bright cap and made a bias circuit with a pot - apart from that it should be a faithfull replica of Brians amp.
Pics below
