Anyone running lower main filtering (one leg of the 50/50 can)? advisable or not due to loss of redundancy?

Yep, and I like it a lot. Didn't notice much change in noise floor or ghosting, but the amp was very quiet to begin with. Quite a bit more bounce. You lose a fair chunk of bass though. Some 68s came from the factory with 50uF on the mains.
