I've been looking at amp archives but I can't make it out,
where you have the diodes comming off the Power Transformer they go to the mains fuse holder and then there is a capacitor that looks like it goes from the other side of the fuse carrier to ground.

Does anyone know the voltage rating and value of this capacitor?

Assuming your talking about the 50 watt amps ('68-'69); then the cap value would be 0.05uF/1000Vdc.

I've managed to find a .05uF 1000v NOS cap manufactured by TCC. On one hand I like the idea of it because it was made very close to where I live but I'm a bit dubious about using it in case it fails.

If I went with a new metalised polypropylene Cornell Dubilier would .047uF at 1000vdc do the job?

Yes the Cornell Dubilier cap would work. The original HUNTS cap were polyester film I believe.
