I noticed the precise twisting on your heaters right off the bat. Very clean build and the white tolex cab is underrated.

Congrats. 8)

Hi guys.

It's a VOX cut control to tame the highs. You'll find all the info you need in the PPIMV thread: http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php ... &start=585

Thanks

I remember that being mentioned on the previous thread -- first time I've seen anyone implement it. Can you comment on it's effect?

Since I'm currently building a plexi clone with a PPIMV, is this cut control something you would recommend?

Thanks.
It smooths out the high sissle / fizz at low volumes. I have "bright" fingers (If that makes sence) and I'm not to found of the piercing EVH sound, so the cut control made the amp much more usable for me.

Try it out before you drill :D

Did you do a straight up '69 circuit or something else?

* 330uf / 820 - .68uf / 1K5 split cathode
* .68uf / 820 v2a
* 33k / 500pf tone stack
* 270pf mix cap
* .1uf pi caps

I guess this is a never ending story, but that is whats in there now, and I think it sounds good.
