certainly the best place for Marshall clones !

Post by electricskychurch » Fri Oct 17, 2008 10:05 pm

i have to say that after a few years where i've been searching some places to buy marshall clones or parts to build some and infos about that , Metroamp is certainly the best i place i discovered !
not only George proposes some of the best Marshall clones out there (maybe the best ones , for several reasons !), with nearly all models you may want but also it's for me the nicest place to buy parts for marshall amps.
i think so, cause Georges is really helpful on the forum (and when you email him, certainly as much as he can) , is opening many topics (with a few other people helping him to make it happen regularly , that i thank as well) to help people build or modify their amps, with many details about several models, as well as some helpful recordings of some of the amps and parts he sells .
he makes different tests and really tries to propose the widest choice and best quality for his products and seems to be develloping that as much as he can and above all , with Love Passion and kindness; something that many other really lack !!! .
i ordered several times from George , always got what i ordered quiet fast and the few times where there was a mistake done, it was corrected really fast !
that's what i call serious and professional (nobody's perfect , everybody makes some mistakes from time to time but few are humble and honnest enough to correct them well and fast ! ).

he only proposes the best quality for what i think is a quiet fair price .
quality has a price unfortunately and to make nice amps nowdays cost some money as it includes all the time and money George invested to make his research and devellopment , to find or have some companies build (to his specs / original specs) some nice components !
also, he doesn't spend much of his energy and money in Snaky Marketing technics but more into making things the best as he can to have some amps sounding really good and the closest he cn to the original amps he is reproducing.

i wish we could have a Metroamp fest in the future where the guys on the forum could meet and share their passion for music and good amps , or music equipment in general (even if it's not easy as many are not in the USA and anyway USA is big ! ).

one word about the forum.
after a few years, where i have been on several forums, to get some infos, some help or just to share my passion for music and music/ guitar gears, i have to say Metroamp is the one where i feel the most comfortable ; a bit like at home ! LOL
most of the people here are nice, many know what they talk about but are quiet humble unlike some people i read some posts through years, on some other forums.
also, they are here to share their passion for music and the equipment they use to do it, sharing many infos and helping people to get the tone they look for.

that said, i don't work for George, nor did he corrupt me  ; i don't even really know him (except through the emails) as i'm in France but i think it's normal to be grateful with someone that helped me (among a few other ones) to get the amp tones i love and to build and repair my guitar tube amps to get the best ot of them.
back a few years ago , it was not as easy to find all these infos and parts to build some clones or restore/ service some original amps.

thanks very much !

in fact , it's more complicated than that !
there are some subliminal messages emitted by the metro amps , at a very high frequencies so you can't really hear them clearly , but like ultra sounds, it's there and hypnotising you each time you play your guitar through his amps saying :
" Metropoulos is your master , go evangelize the world with my words and amps ! "

This would be a great logo for Marshall reissues that have been Metro'd.
It's actually a pic of an add from my credit union, which is called Metro.
Thought it was priceless when I got it in the mail!
