What fuses for a 45/100 operating at 220-240v?

Post by VintageCharlie » Fri Apr 23, 2010 10:41 am

Dear forum members,

what fuses do i have to buy for a 45/100 that will be operating at european voltages? I'm told it's fast acting 1A and slow blow 2A. Metro seems only to have fast acting fuses and no 2A - what shall i choose?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Kind regards,

VintageCharlie

mains: 2a slow or 3a fast
ht: 1a slow although 1a fast usually works fine

The secondary voltages all remain the same regardless of what mains voltage you're running provided you have the mains wired to the correct primary tap. This means that the HT fuse value remains the same regardless of mains voltage.

The mains fuse, however, gets cut to 1/2 the value that you'd run in 120VAC operation.
