Hi i am new to the forum!
I have been reading over the forums and finding out as much info as i can about 100 watters and the different years. I have built an 18watt before but i am still a newbie when talking tech stuff.
I really like the sound of the 10K series 67 Superbass on the plexi replica website! I want to be able to follow instructions so i am interested in a 69 kit, however, i want it to sound the same as the 67.
I am going to order parts in 2 separate purchases from the parts pages. The chassis with all the components/hardware and then the Transformers/tubes when i have the remaining cash. I guess the head cab will have to wait till later.
Just a few questions:
1. Can you recommend the right/best Mains caps, Filter caps, PI Cap and pre-amp cap that will match the 67 but fit in the 69 chassis? (from Metroamp parts) Will i use the same value resisters that are called up in the standard instructions on these 67 spec caps?
2. I there anything on the board that will need changing to match the 67 on the standard 69 board?
3. I was thinking i would also have to change to the 2" Drake tran - Does this fit into the 69 chassis? Do i use the standard choke and the 1203-80-ML Power tran?
Please let me know if there are any other things to note before purchasing all the parts. I live in New Zealand with 240v power BTW
Thanks in advance! I am looking forward to it. I will take photos and post as the build progresses. (once i start).

Re: 69 100 watt kit to 67 specs questions
OK i have been trying to figure all this series and parallel wiring etc.
If i get 2x Sozo Royal 100uf cans for the mains filtering and wire them in series (i believe i would not be following the instructions to do this as they are in parallel?) that will be 100uf in total for both. Alternatively i could get 2x 50x50uf F&T caps and wire them in parallel and follow the 69 instructions.
For the screens i could get 2x 16x16uf F&T caps and wire them parallel to make 32uf for each.
I believe this would get close to the 67 specs?
Any suggestions for the PI and preamp bearing in mind they are top mounted?

Re: 69 100 watt kit to 67 specs questions
My suggestions for building the 100 watt kit to '67 specs:
Substitute 1202-132 OT in place of C1998
Use stock dual 50uf cans for mains
Use dual 32uf cans for screen and PI (3 total)
Use 16uf can for preamp
Use only a single 8.2k 2 watt resistor in place of 8.2k/10k combination
Use 47k negative feedback resistor attached to 16 ohm tap or speaker jack
Use Bass specs on the board
Bright cap to taste

Re: 69 100 watt kit to 67 specs questions
Thanks George!
Excuse my newbieness here but when ordering the parts with the above in mind that would be:
2x F&T 50uf times 50uf
3x F&T 32uf times 32uf
1x F&T 16uf times 16uf
Thanks again!
