Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
I can vouch for them being a great effect loop. I use it with my JTM45 and it works a treat. Mind you I don't get chance to play loud enough to use it these days but its always handy to have just in case. I mean it doesn't suck your tone and it has a bypass switch effectively making it "try bypass" so why not?

I think the most obvious name is...MetroLoop.
Or ClearLoop.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
All good suggestions. I really want to nail down a name for this loop kit so we can get the store listing up and the wiki page created.
Metro-loop is good, but I think a name that credits Steve's design is more appropriate.
Zero-loss loop
Ultimate loop
and so on...

What about "Steve's Zero-loss FX loop" ??? Too long? We could abbreviate: SZLFXL or ZL FX.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
I went ahead and listed these int he store:
http://metroamp.com/store/product_info. ... cts_id=499" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We'll likely change the name. And will definitely update the listing, create a wiki page ect.
Instructions are available for download: http://www.metroamp.com/downloads/Loop-Kit-Rev1B.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The first run of these will be (25) pieces. I hope to start shipping on Dec 1st.

Re: FX loops coming to Metro.
Traditional nomenclature for electronics would suggest using the designer's last name followed by the type of circuit in question. Linkwitz-Riley crossover, Butterworth filter, Williamson amplifier, Schmitt phase inverter, Perkins EQ, etc., etc.. In keeping with that, I think it's easy to call it a "Miller Loop." Not to be confused with the Miller Effect.
Steve is a great guy and has contributed a hell of a lot, both to this forum and, I am sure, amp enthusiasts all over. He doesn't deserve some fancy, catchy zip-zam-zoom name; he deserves better. A simple, no nonsense name. Just my opinion.

Hmm, in that case my suggestion of the "Insanity Loop" isn't going to fly!thousandshirts wrote: Steve is a great guy and has contributed a hell of a lot, both to this forum and, I am sure, amp enthusiasts all over.
