John Rzeznik's gear

Post by VelvetGeorge » Fri Mar 09, 2007 3:49 pm

John just picked up a 12 series 100 watt from me. I took it down to the show in Detroit and snapped some picks of his racks.

George,

He uses all that stuff to get his tone. I hope he starts using your amp soon and gets back into rock mode or he'll go the way of Mark McGrath.

Kinda surprised to see all that, seems every music vid I've ever seen of him, he was strumming away on an accoustic guitar.

Yeah that puts Steve Vai's rig to shame, and Yngwie's rack by his own admission is prehistoric. That rig looks like it plays itself!!
You know when the lights dim as you hit a chord, you need your own generator!!! Also Dave can you make a comment without mentioning Yngwie!!!Guess not!  Oh yeah he's that Goo Goo Dolls guy, right!

I am pretty sure half of that gear is Brad Fernquist's gear http://www.bradfernquist.com/gear.html
He is the touring backup guitar player.

As for Resnik:
Notice 1 rack is for in-ear monitors equipment....
Other rack is for tuning and wireless guitars
other has 2 amps in it
other has effects.

They sound pretty good live.

In another post, I think George mentioned the Chandler's were for his acoustics.
