How heat resistant is the Metro plexi panel adhesive?

Post by justonwo » Fri Jun 15, 2007 12:02 pm

I played a particularly long stint with my Super Lead dimed last night. Must have been a few hours. That aluminum chassis did a great job of transferring heat to the front panels (I only checked them after I went to turn off the amp and found the switches were pretty warm). It got me thinking - will the panel adhesive hold up to the heat?

I wouldn't describe it as hot necessarily, but pretty warm. Seems like it would weaken the adhesive over time.

I haven't seen any issues with the panels and heat. So they should be fine. The adhesive is definitely up to the task. The ink on the panel would succumb long before the glue.
