Which bright cap do you prefer?

I've had a Metro 69 Super Lead for over a year now. For maximum versatility, I'm finding that I prefer to run the amp at low volume and boost it with pedals. But the amp overdrives very early with humbuckers. At 1 or 2, it's already starting to get some hair.
Perhaps messing with the bright cap (i.e. bypassing less signal) will help to clean things up.
Anyway, what do you guys prefer out there for low volume (low setting, anyway. It's still loud.

) with humbuckers and pedals?

Thats a tough one...i use only single coils and my '69 metro has a MV installed and the Vol1 is dual pot so i can choose either 250pF or 5000pF...
But most of the time the vol1 is set on 8-10 so it really doesnt matter what bright cap i use anyway...still next time i open up the amp i think i am gonna fix it to be either 250p (just in case i want to play with the vol1 set on 5-7) or no bright cap at all (just in case i want to play with the vol1 set even lower than 5)...

500pF or lower... but I also have a mix of Scumback H75 and H55.

ever though about getting some power tubes that break up later rather then sooner?
