Metro's tube sockets

sorry, I'm just in a talkative groove tonight.

George sells the 8 pin sockets from the parts section.

These are made out of "Bakelite". Are these the ones that are included

in the amp kits?

I dont believe so. I think the Micalex ones come with the kit. I may be wrong but Im almost positive.

The stock Micalex ones work great... nice and tight.

Amphenol 8 pin socket for the Metro steel chassis, the Micalex won't work except in aluminum chassis, that is if you have a Metro build.

I wouldn't worry the sockets so much. The stock Metro kits
are great. Stick with with Sozos and MetroAmp transformers.
Spend your extra dough on some NOS pres.

Just one opinion. Your mileage will vary.
