Hey guys,

I'm nearing the end on the kit. I just wanted to post some pictures and ask, if there is anything I should change, or look into.

Keep in mind that it is my first build. I'm using the Mercury Magnetics trannies. Thanks.

In your first picture, both the 100K plate resistors on the input side of the board should join at the same turret in the middle, where the buss wire connects.

Got most of the board populated today. I'm just waiting on a new power cord (of all things lol) and a component.

Oh, I decided to go with the 1986 Bass circuit.

And just to clarify guys, on the bias pot...

The side tabs are supposed to be bent up flat, and then solder to the bias resistors right??

I'm referring to the eyelets on the side...

Guys, I have a question.

Does it matter which direction the Sozos are oriented on the board??

I wired the first one from the left that way since it is the same in the 50 watt instructions pic, but how about the others? Should I change any of them??

Supposedly the Sozos sound better if the they're oriented with the line facing the preamp tubes, but that's up to personal opinion, so really it doesn't matter. On your picture it looks like you're missing the 820ohm resistor off of the V2 cathode, though maybe you weren't finished wiring the board when you took the pic.

That's actually the resistor I'm waiting for from the Metro guys at the moment. I was missing a couple in my kit. Between that and installing the fuses, I'm pretty much finished!

V1 red heater wire has a bit to much bare wire showing. Try to snug your leads as close to the solder point as possible without burning the insulation, less chance for short that way. Also, making the leads as short as reasonably possible will make for a quieter and better looking amp. You'd be surprised how noisy an amp gets when a lead here and lead there is unnecessarily long. Just some constructive criticism that may help down the road. Enjoy your build!

Thanks for the tip. I should clip some of them down. I will most likely do that while waiting for the resistors.
