JTM45/100 ahead...

Post by Twistingcrow » Fri Jul 02, 2010 11:15 am

Hi everyone!
So far I've built 5 JTM45's. They all work perfectly and each owner is really proud of his amp. Now's the time to change and delve into something more complex... I'm planning to build a JTM45/100. I know there's no kit available but is it still do-able? I mean, will I have to pick each and every component here and there and work out the wiring/assembling myself or is there a kind of instructions sheet somewhere?

What components/parts should I get? Could you point to some ready-made stuff (resistor kit for JTM45/100 for instance)?

Thanks a lot guys!

Most of the info available is gathered here:

It's do-able. Especially since you have built the 45's with good success.

Absolutely. You can definitely do it with the experience you have, even though it means a step up in understanding how things work beyond just assembling from a kit. It'll be fun!

Sweeeet... :D Thank you guys! I'd never seen the chassis kit in that section... I'll let you know what I do, but this thing tickles me a lot... Thanks again!

What's the rated clean wattage of this amp at 4, and what does it put out at 10 on the volume knob, George? Suddenly I have multiple clients asking for speakers for these and I don't have that information.
