Possible to retrofit a new build into my DSL401 combo?

I have a metro combo combo soon, and I'm super pumped. Unfortunately, my backup JCM2000 DSL401 combo went out on me again. A ways back I had to replace the rectifier because the early 2000s JCMs had overheating problems. I played 4 gigs with my DSL and I now am having problems again. It is crackling when the tubes start heating up (1-3 minutes) and it's very quiet.

I would like to take everything out and just use the cab/speaker for a new build. Would I be able to do this with a 1x12 combo and metro build products?
