Metropoulos Forum

Hello all -

It's been a long time since I was active in the forum. I built a 68 spec plexi kit from Metro back in 2006 I think it was. I hadn't used it in a while but recently I dug it back out of storage. The kit turned out perfect and I am really loving the amp again. The finished head cabinet was purchased from Metro at the same time as the kit, and one thing I always wanted was a name badge/logo to put on the front of the cabinet, since it looks so bare, but I never saw a place to purchase a Metro badge. I am thinking only George-built amps get the Metro badge, is this the case? I never felt comfortable with the idea of putting a Marshall badge on it, since it would almost be 'false advertising'. Are the Metro badges available for the Plexi kits or am I just out of luck?

As far as I am aware, the kits came with a MetroAmp badge, although NOT a Metropoulos badge.

Perhaps not in 2006 though...

I'd email George and ask him nicely if he still has one anywhere, since the Metroamp parts store now exists in very limited amounts, since it was costing too much to keep the amp kit business running.

I have a badge that I never used if you want it, it's from my JTM45 kit.
