MY NEW BABY HAS ARRIVED! GEORGE IS GOD!

Post by yngwie2 » Fri Dec 22, 2006 7:09 pm

Just recieved my new 50 watt 1971 replica from george today! I must say that i am completely blown away. I am soo glad i purchased this head and i can't believe how much of a good job he did getting this to me before christmas . The tone on this thing is unbelievable! Absolutley sounds 100 times better than the reissue 1987x with must better attack and outstanding deffinition! In the past i"ve went through the 1987x, Soldano, Jsx Satriani.etc.
and this is truely in a world of its own. You can"t even compare it. The reissue marshall 50 watt should be made by george. He really is a true genius, and most of all he is one of the nicest people there is on the planet .
Most amp and guitar builders care more about how much money they can get from you and fill your head with a bunch of lies, I"ve been down that road before and i am 100 percent convinced that george has fallen from the heavens. My current setup is a fender malmsteen model strat though a splitter - jimi hendrix wah into a dod yjm308 straight into top left input of the 50 watt metropoulos . Out of the splitter i"ve run an effected side through a fender roc pro 1000 . My sound couldn"t be better . Thankyou george i am SOOOO HAPPY! YOUR A GOD! Of course i"ll post sound clips! But for right now my drummer is here and we are going to get are jam on and i must go back and play ! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE!

So I guess George should change his board status to " Guru Of God Tone" :)

those early 70's 1987 specs are another 'golden period' for marshall if you ask me. I'm working on one myself and currently trying various OT's. I've got the merc and marstran to try as of now. I assume you used georges' heyboer made OT. I wonder if it's any different than Marstran's '139' heyboer made clone? I'm going after a schenker bros./gary moore blend with my build.

Whats up everyone! I must of played about 4 hours straight today working on different pedal variations fine tunning in my tone. I found that the ibanez ts9 before the dod308 works absolutley killer. For me i need those 2 pedals together before the input! I patch both channels together , volume 10 of course and it is absolutley perfect !! I am so happy! Having the right overdrive pedals is soo important , Tone really differs with different types of pedals and for me the ts9 and dod 308 sound absolutley sick! I get the most ultimate harmonics to die for ! Tone forever!

Have you tried a hughes & kettner tube factor? I have been using one in my band for over 5 years. I don't think it sounds good with a strat but it kills with a p90 or paf. Check out what plexi palace has to say about it.

Nice looking pedal ! Looks like its built well ! It sucks that guitar stores around me dont carry high grade equipment to check out for a listen. Real nice clips duke . Are you using that pedal on those?
