yngwie2,absolutely Unleashing The Fury there! Awesome sweep picking,is that a THD Hotplate I spy there? Also signal path,is that straight in,or do you have any pedals,DOD 250 or YJM308? I would have to say I love it!
Awesome work by the Velvet One! :D

yngwie :) did you drive the front end with a pedal ? Perhaps a YJM or Dod 250 ? Sounds like you might have but just checking. Sounds really really good too and monster chops .

Ibanez tube screamer in the front ! I get a better sound through that than the dod308 ,I tried a lot of tweaking on both pedals and the ts9 deffinately works better for me . I just bought the powerbreak and it works perfect. I could not be happier with that setup. I found that there is absolutley no way to combine both pedals together and get a super clean sound. Its either one or the other. You just have to work a little harder to sound clean but i find that really its the only way to sound clean. . For right now i am 100 percent satisfied . For effects you really have to run a seperate power source , And to stay super clean you dont want to drive effects in front of the metro or marshall etc. It really kills the tone and the louder you get with the volume the more garbly the effects sound . Because as your head breaks up , your effects break up! I use the fender for the reverb because i am a big fender reverb sound person. Together those 2 amps really work for me. I think the forum should have a sound clip heading so we can all post clips sporting off are sounds and heads. that would be cool!

yngwie2,you say you are using a power break, isn't that a THD on top of your Metro head in the YT clip? The TS-09 is it stock or modded, and are you still using the Screaming Demon in the bridge or is it an HS-3?
Is that a scalloped YJM Strat you are playing,it seems to have a more vintage style headstock?I posted your clip on the yngwie.org/forum and they went wild!
Thanks to you for keeping the ball rolling for the 50 watt segment out there!
So what attenuator is in that clip then?

Great playing! Not to many around with that sorta technique here on the forums(I know Rockstah can hang, I've heard him). Not to get picky, but I could hear how that tubescreamer sorta compressed and rolled off a bit of your "open" bottom end sound. A "real" DOD 250 will keep everything open sounding, though it will slightly "loosen" your palm mutes. The early seventies 50 watt heads 100-120 watt 4-12 cabs, origional circuit DOD 250 and volume are part and parcel to Malmsteens tone. But hey, man you are there, absolutly incredible playing! I am just pointing out that the 250 is why Malmsteens sound is a little "looser" especialy in his rhythm sound.

Toneslinger you are absolutely dead on in describing Yngwie's tone with the DOD250,open!Also he 'opens' the mouth of the vibrato,by switching from the neck to bridge pickups. Also Yngwie dosen't play so many harmonics, but the whole feel is very similar, great clip!

Thanks guys for the comments! You guys are some really cool people. Yeah Thd hotplate 16 olm because i am using 1 cabinet. Little screamin demon in the bridge and dimarzio hs3 in the neck! Stock ts9 although i am going to check out the analog mans mods. I was surprised the cam corder had a decent sound considering the tiny little mic, but it worked , I would of rathered recorded through the protools but i dont know how to edit video and stuff and i would of opened up a whole can of worms getting into that! hahaha
