Question about 100uf Capacitor

Post by acdc-angus » Wed May 18, 2022 8:53 pm

Hi,

I'm in the project to convert my Vintage Modern 2466H to 2203 the most possible (no cold clipper on the VM).

I have a concern about the x1 10uf and the x3 33uf on the schematic (C71, C44, C45, C46). All the capacitors had a single value before all the 10k when the 2203 had x1 50+50 that surround the first 10k resistor and x1 after the second one and before the 2 last..

If I want to do the same as 2203, should I just put 50uf in C71 and C46? And a 100uf before the resistor (R65) then delete the C44? Or just replace all the capacitor for 50uf will do the same and the location doesn't matter?

Here's the schematic of the VM

Here's the JMP 2203

Thanks for your input :D
