Hey man. So for example the .68's on V1B and V2. I recently replaced the Philips Molded type .68/250V with the smoother, more squared Philips .68/250V. I believe one is polystyrene and the other is polypropylene. No other changes were made to the amp other these two caps. And in the 2 or 3 minutes it took to swap them out, when I fired up the amp again, some of the brighter highs were shaved off and the amp sounded a less aggressive in both the trebles and in gain. Not earth shattering by any means but more noticeable than any resistor swap outs that I've ever done. Just my experience though. 8)

Ah so you mean cathode bypass caps, not cathode follower (tone stack and couplers) :wink:
