Thanks for the clarification!

At the beginning of this topic, you mentioned the following for 12xxx spec:
dual 16u preamp
32u PI cap
16u screens
50u mains
Curious, If I am understanding the spec correctly and I just ordered 32's for the screens, should I order a couple more 16's in case we need them later to get the dutch treat? :D
if u look at the dual 50 cans for the mains in the layout - they are jumpered. wired in parrallel adding up to 100u each for each can. then each of them is wired in series with each other adding up to 50u on the mains as shown in the diagram.

we are going to use two 32u cans for the screens, only using one side = 32u then they are wired in series adding up 16u on the screens.

we are going to use only one side of the 32+32 cap near the PT for 32u on PI.
u have all the cans u need for the dutch treat. ;)

Rockstah,
Do I solder in the new caps exactly like in this picture or as currently wired?

Also, do the NOS mustards caps have polarity?

Thanks!

just like the picture. the two 32u caps that are for the screens will only be using one side of each cap. one 32u and one 32u can cap wired in series is 16u on the screens.

so right now you have two dual 50 caps that are jumpered to 100u in series = 50u on the screens. u wont be jumpering the new cans like these currently are. only one side of each 32u can cap will be used for the screens.

as well you will only use one side, one positive and the negative when wiring up the 32u for the PI = phase inverter cap. do not jumper this cap

the can under the board you will be wiring in the 32u exactly as you see the current 50u+50u cap that is there now. do not jumper this cap.

final note, none of your new can caps will be jumpered ed? ;)

Got it!

One more question: Do the NOS mustards type caps have polarity?
