Hey guys I was wondering what ohm cab you have found that sounds the best with your Marshall heads?

Or is there any difference at all?

I have read some people even if they have a 16ohm cab they run their tube head at 8 or even 4 ohm. I allways understood this is bad for a tube amp. Or am I wrong?

I'm a strict 16 ohm guy, 16 ohm for the head and 16 ohm for the cab. This means you're using the amp's OT to its full advantage. This creates the maximum amount of headroom which I like.

I'm a 16 ohm guy too. Somewhat by default. All of the great Marshall cabs I've played or owned have been 16 ohms.

The only 8 ohm cabs I've played through were late 80's early 90's and had G12-75's. Not a fair comparison for judging the effect of impedance.
