so yer filtering is 32u on the mains? i thought u were going to go back to 50u on the mains and 100u screens?
Yes, went back to the lower filtering on the screens and the mains as it was before. At idle/no playing seems to have quite a bit of noise and maybe even a little howling wind sound, should I go back to stock on the screens and mains? Do you still hear the problem that you heard earlier and were trying to get rid of with 100 on the V3 cap?

i didn't hear it in these clips as much and the 220k i didn't even notice it.

ya know i was just thinking u have to remember also that eds tone was the stuff he put in front of the amp.

u need to get a boss ge10. it will give you some gain and enable to shape your tone as well.

u might get one and be like "shit I'm done! this sounds great" -
i love mine.

That sound is usually a duff preamp tube.

VK

The GE-10 is a big step! And it's definitely a step in the right direction. Regardless of how close you're getting to what you want, this amp is sounding fantastic. Can't wait to hear what you come up with when you get the MXR!

Nice recordings!

And I preferred the 220k addition, too!

sounds good. of course u can tweak your sound alittle with the eq and adjust the level to taste. that eq makes a huge difference.

i think what we keep hearing as some kind of oscillation maybe due to the speakers used. i think a big part of it now is the speakers.

which choke r u suing and which choke r u going to try?

I put just finished putting in a Mar 100 C.
The Mar 100 C has a different foot print than the stock Choke (Dagnall INDT-00018) so I could only get 1 bolt through the hole in the Mar 100 C frame.

Here is my GE10 and the settings I used for the recordings:

See posts below for MP3's of the MAR 100-C.
