I don't like it with the dry recordings....too much fuzzy noisy stuff.

However, with the verb especially playing RWTD it kinda sounds like the fuzzy sound you hear on VH1, at least to me.

So at this point not sure if I like it or not?

Put NOS Mustards back and removed SOZO Premium Mustards

i don't think i like the new choke.
sounds more like the top of the snare drum but i cant hear the drum itself. if that makes sense.

try the 7h in the store.

refresh my memory here - which OT and PT are we hearing?

Yea I'm not liking the new choke either.

OT = George's Dagnall Clone
PT = George's Dual Tap using Low Volt Taps

This be the choke your recommending?

And what about the Allen Bradley NOS resistors? Changing resistors carbon film to carbon comp even though same value affect the tone much?

you can if you want to experiment. i never found them of any value for my likes - i don't use any carbon comps and they weren't in a 67-68 plexi either.

that choke is the one.

You mean snare rattle dude, from the bottom of the snare. Yes it's very pronounced since the new choke.
VH, try pulling some of those ickies out of the GE10, try setting it flat n just use it to push the front a bit, and that reverb man, either take a LOT out or don't use it at all. If I may.

no. i meant what i wrote. it was to imply that there is not as much of a complex depthness going on now. i only hear the head and not the drum. i do see what u are saying as well. there is alot of junk around the notes now with the new choke.

You mentioned earlier about trying the Superbass tone stack. This what I need?:

And cootboy mentioned changing the reverb...take alot out....I am using PTLE7 and The Dverb plug in. Is this the plug in you use? If yes, what settings would you recommend?

I'm putting the stock choke back for now until I get me a 7H.
