Post by hotforteacher921 » Thu Sep 18, 2008 1:40 am

i seem to be the lone prisoner of solid-state on this site.

what exactly does a contour knob on my marshall MG30DFX do? i know its not an orthodox midrange...

I can't answer your question, because I'm disregarding any solid-state amp for guitar use, but...

... can you say, why you've posted this in the "Metropoulos Amplification" forum?

This section of the board actually is thought for quests about the products of George - and not for general quests about any amp. Just a step deeper on the "Board index" you can see a forum named: "Marshall, Marshall, Marshall"

The fault almost always is sitting in front of the amp

I had an MG a few years back. I don't know the technical stuff that control does, but yo me it seemed like a mid scoop or something the higher you turned it. I always had mine on "0" to get the fattest sound possible.
