I may be wrong but I think they were added
later to amps that came with no bias adjustment.

GO BEARS!!

o.k. kool. I see, thanks, man.
the reason I'm asking is that just recently I'm seeing these in Plexi's.
I see the tall thin standup trim pots often and when I seen these sliders I just had to ask...
When you say later...when ?

Da BEARS my frent !
All da way to da Suuuuper Bowl. Where da final score will be da Bears two hunnert and tree to negatiff two, my frent. Dis will be possible only if Coach Ditka were allowed to play with only one udder player... Michael Jordan of Da Bullsss. DA BEARSSSSS !

When I say later is after the amps were made
with just a resistor that had to be changed
to adj the bias. A mod was done to put a slider
pot to adj the bias.

I think.

BEARS, DITKA, DA BEARS.

Yeah, I have one of these in my Plexi SB -68. Looks to be original to me. By the way, the PPIMV in the picture is gone now.
