Duke....really cool to hear that spec all polished and mastered. Great tune....always love playing that one in my prior cover band that had a female lead vocalist. Really great playing. The #36 is in there for sure!
BRM....you've got it all there. Killer. Raw and perfect with the delay.
Now that I've gotten my #36 where I'm happy with it, I've opted to ditch the Alnico II pickups. They're Slash....they're great...but those pickups are so bright, yet alone the brightness of the #36 spec. I tend to prefer not having to adjust the tone know so much. For me I've settled on the Duncan 59/custom Hybrid. Not as bright but plenty of tightness.
My current cover band, I'm either using my 2 channel #36 or my half super-lead / half soldano SLO clone. I like both for different reasons and just go with whatever my mood is for the day

Recently I've accomplished a Marshall mod for a customer in the USA
After reading the description you may imagine, on what this mod is based

This proves George Lynch should have recorded with a Les Paul Custom.
Sound perfect.

Thanks. Yeah I think the treble is a lot more controlled now.

Larry,
I'm guessing the mod is 99% close to what's been debated here in the thread.
What's clearly different is how you arranged the board and cleaned up lead dress...something that's a major ingredient to your amps.
I will ask....did you go DC or elevated heaters on pre-amp?

Larry, have you used any of the Dino heritage in this amp? I believe I hear some ceramic caps affecting the upper mids but those ceramic caps may be stock as well.

S.I.R. #39 mod, altogether 12 components, 2 components w/ another value = 83%
input grid stopper = 18K instead of 68K (remarkable hiss reduction)
the SIR voltage divider 470K || 470p / 220K changed to 470K || 470p / 470K

I've first accomplished the mod, so I've had a before/after cleaning the lead dress - a remarkable difference
Very important: Have an eye to the violet lead to the Presence pot and keep it away from the tone control leads AND from the OT's primaries

Neither, nor - I even kept the heater's CT at its orig. spot next to the PT

Nothing you didn't see. I was speaking of the lead adjustments. Of coarse this is different in every amp, so no need to try and copy any lead dress.
