For starters, the guitar is a '64 SG, which has early patent number pickups that are virtually identical to the last PAFs.

The amp is an early JMP, most likely a 10000 series, which points to Version 5c or 6 in the handy 'Super 100 Amplifier Evolution' document (to whom do I credit?).

Neither of Clapton's cabs have corner logos, which suggests they are loaded with G12M 75Hz.

This was recorded during his 'woman tone' phase, where he was working with thicker sounds, neck pickup, rolling off the tone control, etc. See this interview from that period, from 0:25->1:20 and 2:00->2:30.

Hmm...I don't know...when was this recorded? IIIRC it's still in '67. If it's before October '67 then it's most likely a 45/100 with KT66s. Kind of hard to see in the video, but I think it's a Super Trem. One of Clapton' 45/100 amps was a ST. If we could get a clear shot of the input jacks it would be easier. The JMP's jacks are closer to the cab cutout edge.

Hmmm, I forgot about that. The plot thickens ...

The songs they're playing were released on Disraeli Gears, November, 1967. Apparently, this doesn't guarantee the video was shot after the release of the LP. It may have been taken sooner.

Previously, I saw no indication of an expected 'black flag' on the left side of Jack's amp and assumed that it would more likely be a JMP, which they would have likely been using circa '68. This shows how misleading assumptions can be. I then found a brief, but clear look at the right side of Jack's amp at 2:50, whereby it does appear to be a JTM100.

Due to the annoying camera work, I can't get a clear look at Clapton's amp. There is a split second around 4:15 where the control panel becomes vaguely visible, and it does look like it may have extra knobs (Super Trem). I do have the remainder of the footage of this video session, but I don't feel like scouring through it at the moment.

Were there any trem models equipped with KT66s or were they all made with EL34s?

The JTM series Super Tremolo amps through '66 were definitely fitted with KT66s. The Super Trems were simply Lead models with the added tremolo circuit.

EC used 45/100s (#3b in my typology -http://folk.ntnu.no/roef/JTM100.html) until at least November 67. He started using el34 amps in October 67 when returning to the UK (type #5c or #6). See also http://www.thegearpage.net/board/showth ... p?t=596128

The footage in the link from the OP isn't from the Smothers Brothers (a comical variety show), but appears to be an album promo, and is evidently from '67. There are several other album tracks filmed in that same session.

Ok, so I dug out my old "Fresh Live Cream" VHS. It says it's from The Revolution Club, London, Dec 1967.

Thanks for looking into that. It makes perfect sense, as Disraeli Gears had been released less than a month prior. This suggests that they were still using their gear from mid and late '66 until right around the end of '67.
