Anyone know what's happened to the amparchives site? Was such a great resource! It always takes the wind out of the sails when this happens. All that info, whoosh, gone......

Yeah, would be a great shame if the site were to disappear. An invaluable resource for info and reference pics! One can only hope it's temporary..........

Takes money to run a site... never saw a donations link. Guessing the site needs funds

Roger Cook (RTCook) is the man who runs the site, it is his baby.
He is a member here.
It is a fantastic resource so I hope he asks for some help.

Maybe we should Private Message him, to see if he knows it went down?
Was just reading an old post in Vintage Amps Forum that said he rescued it once all ready in 2008 due to web-space provider crash.

Looks like the domain renewed on the 4th Jan and he still owns it, however there is nothing configured on it which is very odd.

I hope Roger will restore the site. I use it constantly.
I seen a group on Facebook talking about grabbing as many pages as possible and making a new site. But, I hope the original can be saved.
I supplied many of the Marshall pics to Roger, so I have a lot. My web guy estimated it would cost $1,500-3,000 to build a new, similar site.

I tried emailing him @ his amparchives address but it's non-deliverable. Does anyone have his private email?

Excellent news! Can we check ownership of the domain and see if it's still Roger?

I heard from Roger and I'm happy to say that amparchives.com is under new ownership and will be back online, with a fresh makeover, very soon.
All the files were saved.
Roger has been busy and felt that the site should be operated by someone who has time to manage and update it.

Hey all, Phil here, Roger has decided it's time to pass the Amp Archives torch - to me as it happens.
I'm currently overhauling the site to include an advanced search, submissions, community feedback and more. Feel free to contact me through the form on the site, or here. Stay tuned in the next month or so.
