DSL100HR BIASING ISSUES

Post by Dominick9667 » Sun Apr 17, 2022 12:27 am

I have Marshall DSL100HR. I biased it on the 100watt setting at 75.0mv. per side. When I switch to the 50watt setting to set the bias it initially reads 173.4mv. one side and 154.7mv. A the other.
I tried lowering it(on 50watt setting) but it doesn’t trim any lower than like 127mv. a side. When I go back to 100watt the readings are all off and not set where I set them.
What’s going on here?? Am I doing something wrong? Is there something I’m missing?? I love this amp and don’t want to lose it.
Thankyou for any advice on this.

Hi,
there is no issue.
you have to set the bias in the HIGH mode and not in the LOW mode.
When you switch to LOW mode the bias will change that high, this is normal.
In the LOW the HT is reduced to less than a half, the bias has to change accordingly, so it has to go up.

See you at the marshall-forum :D
