Okay...I'll put my two cents in here. Vic's clips of the Peacemaker on the Mojave website are quite brilliant. His amps there have that sound where the distortion is not over-the-top but the amp is just about to explode and the pick attack is stunning.

If his amps sounded exactly like that in this particular video clip, I would be very impressed. However, I'm now not sure just how much tweaking was done in the web site clips because they do not sound the same here.

No doubt in my mind Vic knows what he is at and is a consummate tone hound. But I was hoping to get my head blown off here with the TONE and perhaps expected more.


Good tone...just not beyond a good reissue Marshall IMHO.

Victor needs to try a overdrive-distortion unit to get eds tone,victors tone sounds like it needs a kick in the ass,it needs some aggessiveness.

I wouldn't say that. I think there's tons of distortion there... jeez.. :shock:

yeah some one who will remain nameless brought up a great point.i have yet to hear any owners of the peacemaker duplicate this tone.i wonder if victor mason is adjustion on the sound board or whatever...

If you go back to that thread and listen to the track now that mentoneman added some effects to it, it sounds much better!

it does sound better,but still not like victor masons peacemaker.the mids and lows are different.

you mean to say the production ones don't sound as good as the clip? hmm... i'll keep my metros
