I actually did this as an experiment as I'm a pedal guy.

This is my Baker thru my 100 watt Reinhardt, volume at 8, which would in fact cause cracks in the foundation.

I brought it right down to Larry King viewing volume levels, just to see how it recorded.
Pretty cool playing thru an amp generating distortion from shear volume.

Very nice tone and playing! Did you add compression or is that just from the attenuator? What mic?

I'd rather listen to that than Larry King any day.

Thanks!
The compression is from being severly attenuated.
I use a Shure SM-57.

The 2 tracks were an experiment. I wanted to see how it recorded, attenuated like that.
Likely not something I would do all the time.

Normally I run the amp clean and ues pedals for distortion.

Next time I wanna try less volume/gain on the amp. Say set it halfway, then smack it with a TS or my DOD 250. Be less compressed that way.

I think that sounds really good. Very much the sound of typical recordings done these days.

Your playing is excellent as it usually is.
