70s Creamback Marshall cab with my JTM45/100

Picked this cab up yesterday. I've been using a scumback loaded 90s Special Issue slant cab for a few years. I'm really digging this new cab and speakers more. More woody vibe IMO:

NOTE: Overdrive is coming from an "arc furnace" pedal. The JTM45/100 was at 5.5. on the volume and using an attenuator set very low (you can hear the pick attack in the clips)

Its a 1974. Full stack..heh..well, I'm not allowed (wife) to keep both, so I have to sell the special edition cab:) She isn't so happy I'm keeping the "ugly" one...ha!
What do you mean working on? You mean just looking to buy, or build?

Yes, to buy... (was stolen a long time ago and
must replace)
Yes... She's right ! That's Metro-member wifey rule #4 plan-B.
Sell the "new looking" special edition cab.... and now.... you get an A cab in the same condition and tell her you got both ugly cabs for selling the one ...........She'll NEVER know...
'74's came with witchhats? I see one was replaced.
Anyway, one of my all time favorite setups - LPC/T'-top's into a Stack.

LOL...well, I don't really think I NEED a full stack. I'm a gigging guy. I usually only keep what I use on stage. Besides, I don't think I like the sound of A cabs anymore...
The Les Paul is a 1971... the Cab is a 1974. The replaced knob is because of a replaced pot. The stock one had drifted down to something like 270k! Had to get a good 500k pot in its place. The new pot didn't fit the witchhat knob.
tyler
