Lemme help you regain moderation. You need 2 Jensens. Get them.

Flames, do you have any photos of your '66 build? I am just ordering a JTM45 kit, would love to do a JTM45/100 next (well, if I get this one right...).
I've posted pics before too, but since I needed to get the chassis out and put in new input grid resistors (thank you to a certain forum member for those!!!! :D :D :D ) I snapped some fresh porno.........

The only thing I should have done differently was to have George sell me one of those Bulgin sockets for it, the AC cord looks sloppy to me, even more so because I nicked the insulation after the strain relief was already in and had to patch it with shrink wrap. :x :x

Hi Flames, the amp looks great as usual. All my boards just arrived for three new amps i.e. 45/100 - 67 - 68, I just got to get my parts list together and get started. I think George is out of the chassis for the 45/100 till spring, so maybe I'll start on a 67 or 68. Taking my time on these, and alot of the parts are hard to find, like mustard, Mullard and stuff like that, but it'll be worth it. These will be my own personal amps, so a little extra TLC will be in order. Been really busy this past year and I'm still buried in the Katrina thing. Did some work in New Orleans this past week and got to hit the French Quarter for a little fun. Some of the old blues and jazz players are returning and everything is sounding like New Orleans once again.

Stunning, just stunning...

I swear that will be my next build if I get this JTM45 together half-decently. That head case with the Vox brass vents is just sooo cool.

I half-know a guy locally who actually has a *real* JTM45/100 tremolo model. I just got to see it very briefly in his studio a few weeks ago, but they were in the mixing of some friends' recording, so I couldn't play it or even look closely at the insides. If I get a chance I'll try to snap some photos. I do know that he had to rebuild it quite bit though...still, it looked awfully cool with those same Vox vents!

Say, doesn't the front panel say JTM45, or is it just hidden?

No, it doesn't say JTM45 on it, and the spacing looked different than my Metro JTM45 or I would have ordered the 45 faceplate.

Sorry, I didn't quite understand that...

Is it possible to use the JTM45 faceplate? When you say the spacing was different, does that mean the chassis cutouts are different on the chassis type you used than on a typical JTM45 chassis? I don't have any old amps at hand to check...

Just want to be sure that when the time comes I can get this exactly right, with the JTM45 faceplate! It's all in the details...

I'm not sure where the difference lies, the control cutouts measure about the same on both amps (around 16 3/8 inches maybe, sorry I didn't have any metric marked on there!!) and the spacing of the controls themselves comes out the same, but there's no way I can center up the JTM45/100 chassis and get a "JTM45" marking to show on the early-style 100 watt cab........

OK, something is funky there...the early single-OT JTM45/100s that I've seen photos of definitely had the JTM45 on there (well, without it, it wouldn't actually qualify as a bonafide JTM45/100, would it?)

Something for George to be alert to when he's cloning his block end JTM45/100, right? :D I want to build this amp someday with the early-style Vox vent cab, block end chassis, single OT *and* the correct JTM45 faceplate. :D

Correct. And all in the works.

I couldn't fit JTM 45 on the fronts without changing chassis or the headbox cutout.

Georges JTM45/100 has the most beautiful build quality I think ive ever laid my eyes on! Ive been wanting one since last November and will finally have the money by the end of April :>). So there are no more orders being taken on the JTM45/100 until Spring because of the lack of Trannies then??

If you must have one now you could always get the tranny somewhere else and install it yourself or have someone do it
