Stan who? Stan 'the man', yes. The reason I mention him here is this one outstanding album that was better than everything Chicken Shack ever released: 'Imagination Lady'. With the incredible Paul Hancox on drums - who obviously listened to John Bonham a lot - this album is one of my favourites when it comes to powerful british blues of the early seventies.
And it captures the sound of the Les Paul-Marshall combination just perfect, better than many others I believe. 'Poor Boy' Stan...

Stan with Chicken Shack featuring a certain Christine Perfect later known as Christine McVie, was known for his 50 ft guitar cord which he was able to wander around the audience while playing, these being the way before wireless, prehistoric days
