tried the cerrum mod. - not cool......was cool...but I did it all week off and on and something failed.opt
I got another OPT from antique radio supply.
that recording was my first attempt a slaving another amp, like rgalpin
I used a hughes kettner red box after a jcm800 into another jcm800
(2 50watters) used a 1176ln post mixing but, too much compression, didn't know how to get a good sound back then monkeying around with the 1176ln.

yeah, it wasn't all that great of a difference really.
still looking for some safer tonal alternatives though.

I was trying to get that sizzle to the tone that I was missing.
sizzle is what I got too........wrong sizzle.

not yet...but I will do it myself once I check everything else out with the DVM. can't record again until March so no rush, been busy.

However, hanging around here, you won't need any good luck at all. This is "THE PLACE" for any aspect of that amp.

Today , while decorating the Xmas tree, out of an ornament box pops my CD of Brian Setzer Orchestra doing Xmas music.....Hell Yeah......what a Great Holiday CD..into the Bose it goes!

I saw him on some music special back in the 80's ( does anyone remember this ??) with about 23 of the best guitarists in the world, all playing on stage and taking turns soloing and stuff.

3 of those players were absolutely head and shoulders above the rest of the back.

1)Setzer
2)Gilmore
3)Schon

Got a chance to see him years ago when he first toured with the B.S. Orchestra.

What a great show and awesome guitarist, can kill it on banjo too!

I'll leave now and go back to the tree..coffee....and my Setzer CD!!!

Dean Deleo.....now there is a guitarist that gets no love.

amazing songwriter, great tones for the appropriate song and he incorporated some serious Jimmy Page into his playing style.

definitely a major talent.....his brother too

yes I would agree, especially live! he really does get some great tones and is awesome player. A good friend of mine techs for him. from what I hear Dean is a huge Page fan.
