Funk was a GREAT rock and Roll band.

Clips from NY's Shea Stadium, 1971!

Even though it's my older sibling's generation, I wore the Grand Funk 'Caught In the Act' album out on the turntable. It's a great guitar album, and I fondly remember spending hours learning Mark's licks.

"Tell everybody you know...you've got some Rock 'n Roll Soul!"

GFR is definitely one of my deep influences and to this day I still crave a Gibson L-5S!!!

Big Grand Funk fan here! I wore out Closer To Home on vinyl and keep a CD of Caught in the Act everywhere I go!

Mark's childhood home is less than a mile from the shop. They even changed the name of the road to Farner Dr.

Glad to hear there's more Funk fans out there!

I saw Mark Farner at the Greek not long ago. He did all the old Funk stuff and did it well.

I wore out the Live LP and guess what? In a WTF? moment I "amazon'd" it. It's available on CD!!

I ORDER everyone to get a copy! 8)

Huge Grand Funk fan! I collect any shows I can from them.
Farner is still at the top of his game. I just downloaded a show of his from Detroit, 7/11/08, and he kicks ass.

My mom wouldnt let me go the see them at Shea!! A few months later I saw my first concert, The Who at Forest Hills.

mark had a veleno (all aluminum) guitar, pretty badass, i had a chance to buy one once damn!
