AC/DC's "Back in Black" Album Tone: FOUND.

Post by SoloDallas » Sat Oct 01, 2011 9:41 am

I'd dare call it "case closed", though I usually myself go back to older facts and review, correct them etc.
I am opening a new thread, as I think the "event" deserves it.

I am pleased to introduce you to my latest attempt:

You will find ALL the details here:

http://www.solodallas.net/the-definitiv ... o-article/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

With key elements relative to how reproduce the sound. I debunked the ingredients 100%.

Thanks for viewing,
Fil "SoloDallas"

PS In partnership with Mr. Ken Schaffer himself we are building a replica of the Schaffer Vega Diversity System.
Won't be wireless, it will a black box similar to the one on video (left) and it will be a 1:1 replica of the audio circuitry to replicate this sound 100%.

Man, what a great website with lots of in-depth thought behind it. Good pictures and articles. A guy could could spend alot of time on the 'net on just Solodallas and Metroamps sites alone. If you keep going there, your guitar/amp collection is guaranteed to expand, by the way... :D

sounds great, would be interested in one of those Vega boxes when they are available.

Sir, will keep the community updated. Soon on the market. Best of breed, 1:1 Replica (NO wireless, just the audio circuitry that actually MADE the sound).

Thanks!

A Super Lead and clean boost with lots of headroom gets the job done. W/o wireless, you loose "the sound"

Dude... That is EXCELLENT ! :listen:  :toast:
Great switch on the lead tones. It gave you the bite in the higher freq's.
Man, that motovates me to get that '61 Maestro I've wanted to replace my '65.
Should of held on to it even with a broken HS... Sorry, was 17...
(Aye what was the first year of binding on that ...'65 ? )
