Jeff playing some Blues with Mick at the White House.
Mick seems a bit out of condition but still ok.

If only THIS were mainstream music, and not the rest of the shit.
Our children would have far better examples of what really matters.
And us, we'd have our ears pleased and fingers burning even more.
Sigh.

('cept I wish they would have taken a page from Tim Thomas and said "thanks but no thanks" but that's getting political....

Man what a bunch of great clips...I've seen a lot of the new stuff which is breath taking....but that version of the JB group with Cozy Powell on drums.......Man I love watching Cozy play......Traditional grip, but murdering the skins....The clips at the white house were just great blues, and Obama didn't have to pretend he was being entertained. Buddy singing right at Barrack and Michelle was priceless! They really did bring the blues to the whitehouse, if it wasn't here I wouldn't of looked for it because I really expected a cheeze fest......Hearing Mick sing ":you make my drinks with a can of Red Devil Lye" that was blues heaven right there.........I good reminder of why I liked blues in the first place....

Re: Take a lesson from JB ed.....
Let me jump into the squared circle here... Jeff's tone is that way because of the fully floating vintage style Fender tremolo.
The way he sets it that warbly effect is just a byproduct of the way he prefers it to be set.
This enables him to produce that otherworldly ethereal tone and the celestial vocal quality that he is most famous for..
I just think this is a progression of his tones over the years and I'm sure live it is a whole different matter, much more full bodied and warm as opposed to the digitized computer compression we experience on You Tube.
I purposely chose not to comment on JB at the White House, ect...
I know that nice a guy as he is, Jeff could give a f$#% what is written about his tone on an internet forum.
I think he knows what constitutes a great tone and what i most enjoy about the pickless JB is he works without a net as my other guitar heroes did.
Just wish he would be more straightforward about what amp he is using..though he has always done this sort of trickery..
When I saw the 6X12" Univox cabs with BBA I was like "WTF"!!
Anyway JB is 'God' now, Eric Clapton has vacated the throne....
Oh and by the way did I mention last weekend in LA I played one of Ed's old guitars, a purple Peavey Wolfie, now owned by Dave Friedman of RACKSYSTEMS..

I was more excited to play a Steve Stevens owned guitar..but that's just me..
