Without the Texas Cannonball Freddie King, Clappo wouldn't have had one of his major influences, Peter Green as well. The Stumble, Hideaway, Have You Ever Loved A Woman, the list goes on.
Freddie is awesome and his guitar licks sting with an authority all their own

Being a white boy from the midwest that, and a reference to Freddie in a Grand Funk song ("American Band"), is all I know about him. I enjoyed that first clip and also got a kick out of the bassist's Acoustic 3xx setup. A friend of mine had a similar amp/cabinet back about that time with that folded horn design and I can hear its tonal qualities in that clip, particularly on the lower notes.
