Stuart Adamson - Big Country
Posted: Thu Jan 03, 2008 10:05 pm
In the early eighties Big Country was a breath of fresh air on the music scence, a change from the synth laded music of the era.
Stuart Adamson,, who sadly passed in 2001, was the driving force in BC and had previously played with the Skids.
The bagpipe inspired guitar riffing and the 'big' open sound they had was awesome. This Celtic rock predated Gary Moore's Wild Frontier era by 3 years or so.

Stuart uses an Ebow at one point with delay, and had some cool Strats and Yamahas.
Their songs had substance and meaning and some tasty guitar work, RIP Stuart laddie.
