Does anybody know Curt Schumacher or Bob Ropely, LA area?

I'm trying to find out more about my main instrument, a 70's strat, maple neck, ash body - oh, it sounds and looks pretty good - which I bought from a guy named Curt Schuhmacher some 15 years ago while I was on a trip to LA. He told me - I still have it on tape - that the body once belonged to Bob Ropely (?) and the neck had been played by Yngwie Malmsteen during his Alcatrazz-time. Just curious...
