Stan who? Stan 'the man', yes. The reason I mention him here is this one outstanding album that was better than everything Chicken Shack ever released: 'Imagination Lady'. With the incredible Paul Hancox on drums - who obviously listened to John Bonham a lot - this album is one of my favourites when it comes to powerful british blues of the early seventies.
And it captures the sound of the Les Paul-Marshall combination just perfect, better than many others I believe. 'Poor Boy' Stan...
