This abum was a STAPLE of mine back in 'The Growing Years'. I loved the HUGE fat chuncky sound. After not listening to it for years, I downloaded it to cd, man it was as great as ever ! "Little Dolls" and Sato in particular were bad assed. Randy was such a great 'riffer' and soloist. His solo's were constructed brilliantly. I've heard some on here say they thought his tone sucked, but I thought it was the BEST heavy type tone EVER. Any thoughts on Randy ?

still have those LP's, i enjoyed the heck out of those too. his sound was maybe a little more abrasive than i would use? but it had tremendous presence. others can probably report alot more accurately than i, but i was under the impression he just used a dist+ into a marshall & doubled alot of his tracks? worked for me.

Yeah, the Distortion + and 10 band eq were key. The rhythm track in "Little Dolls" is so toneful and HEAVY !
