Re: Jimmy Rosenberg doc
Thanks for that Ruben! Jimmy's is an incredibly tough and tumultuous story, but he miraculously lives through and continues to shine even brighter!
On a side note, JimiJames, don't you guys have the great Gypsy Jazz Festival at the Green Mill in Chicago? Man, there are some top shelf 1st generation gypsy jazzers come through there! I've always wanted to shoot up there for that.
Here's a sweet vid of two of my old skool hero's, Tchavolo Schmitt and Fapy Lafertin. From two entirely different tribes from across Europe, this vid captures them meeting for the first time ever! Tchavolo is in black, Fapy in white. Fapy is elegant and reserved, tasteful. Tchavolo is bold, hilarious and like the dirty uncle. A riot to behold, and to see them "speak to each other for the first time" through their song.
There are so many out there right now who KILL, and I mean KILL in talent. Don't get me started.
Enjoy, and vive le jazz hot!
