I enjoyed Jake's playing as well. Zakk Wylde is a cool person with great taste in the guitarists he admires and is influenced by but he wouldn't have been my first choice either.
Not to speak ill of the dead but Randy Rhoads wasn't really my cup of tea personally speaking.
I know he was innovative and brilliantly gifted, ect. Just his tone and phrasing to me didn't do it.
I'm not saying that Jake is better than Randy, just more accessible to Ozzy's material.
It was cool that his Charvel/Strat had a fixed bridge in the whammy bar era.

Jake taped a 'That Metal Show' episode to be broadcast in the coming weeks. Not sure when. It will be great to see him play again. He truly is one of the best rock guitarists around imo .
