My thoughts exactly.

Sounds great though, will definitely be having one of them.

Thanks Roe - Thanks HtH! -
yep been already addressed: the definitive box layout will be rightly ergonomic - knobs properly lined (they're not right now) AND the switch will be at safe distance for the foot to stomp on it.

This was a definitive prototype sound-wise (should have mentioned it better in my ever ending speech :peace: ): layout wise, on the video prototype showcase, the led lights don't protrude out of the box (and they will), knobs not placed symmetrically AND switch too close.

This is already changed in the definitive production layout :D
You guys can feel free to pre-order one when you feel like it.

replica-preorder@solodallas.com, price is USD 280, shipping, customs and taxes of the local countries not included.

Thanks!

SD :)

Why not to add the definitive Gold Tag, Ken Schaffer Signed Edition too?

Another little promo for my product.
Going to probably flood the interwebs with these. I really want people to understand how good these are.

Thanks!

Notes: played with a 1961/1962 Gibson SG standard, 1976 Superlead and the TSR was always ON (except for the very beginning, video colours will show when TSR goes on)
Settings on the amp were the usual, "mild" ones, as it's the TSR that does most of the job here: presence 0, bass 7, treble 4-5, mids 4, volume 7.
The TSR was compression on Max, and Boost to 1/4 (YES, was boosting very little: the compression on its own does wonders!).

The knobs STILL look too close to the foot-switch, you have lots of space above the knobs, why not use it? :?

Rendering, this is a rendering for - mostly - graphics purposes. No worries (but thanks for pointing out)

Does engaging the pedal always make your truss rod cover start to fall off

Very nice tones - not chea for a gentle boost tho'.

Hehe. Thanks.
NOT a gentle boost! This is a massive boost. It's actually power supply operated - no batteries - as it needs lots of power.
It was USED gently in this specific video - just 1/4 of its power - because I wanted it this way here, also in contrast with what I did in previous videos... an example here:

Neil,
wanted to underline the following, just to make sure the message gets home.
The clean boost that was sported on the original Schaffer-Vega Diversity - and that now sits in our replica, 1:1 - was not intended to be a guitar clean boost. It was an amplifier! It was supposed to drive speakers, and was developed even prior to the SVDS being used as it was used.

This is actually why we had to keep the power supply to operate this particular boost (that got used pretty much back in the day by several guitar players - by word of the very same Ken Schaffer) simply put, a single 9v battery wouldn't be enough. we would have had to put 3 or 4 if memory serves me right, which was against practical usage in our opinion, so we simply added the power supplies to both Replicas - the Gold Tag Edition (signed by Ken Schaffer) has it inside its box (just like the original SVDS), the Pedal version has an external one.

So, considering that the boost is an actual amplifier... I hope this cleans your legit thoughts at first that it'd be an expensive "gentle boost"!

Additionally, the unit sports a compressor. And it's a really good sounding one.

So, in actually one package one gets both.
Considering that "this effect" was really, actually used by several rock stars back then, both live and in the studio - some albums have clearly its sound "frozen" inside, I think we priced both units just right. I don't think it has been common for the "guitar effects market" to have what we are offering right now (and hopefully, what we'll continue to offer for quite some time in the future) that is, I say again, a guitar effect that was actually used by several ones, for several years, being an exact replica identically sounding.

Thanks!

Fil :D
